We have long-term animals who will stay with us for the rest of their lives as they cannot be rehomed for a variety of reasons and animals which are waiting for a loving home. We take in animals for adoption from private homes, other rescues and sometimes via the dog warden. We have mainly dogs and cats but also have rabbits and small furries, including ferrets from time to time as well as occasional other species. We do not keep exotics.
OPENING TIMES: WE ARE OPEN TO VISITORS EVERY DAY FROM 12-3PM. PLEASE TRY AND VISIT BETWEEN THESE TIMES IF YOU CAN AS WE ARE OFTEN BUSY WITH FEEDING AND CLEANING AT OTHER TIMES.
Please check the appropriate pages for terms of adoption etc. All dogs are microchipped free of charge but we can no longer offer free neutering vouchers as the Dogs' Trust has withdrawn their funding for this. People on benefits should still be able to get free or subsidised neutering for their pets. We encourage owners to vaccinate their pets before handing them over to the Ark but cannot guarantee that every animal will be fully vaccinated.
All information on this website is correct to the best of our knowledge. We pass on to prospective owners all we know about the animals in our care but have to rely on former owners to be truthful and accurate. We do, however, update information at regular intervals as animals are observed and assessed. Please feel free to contact us for any information or advice about our animals or services that you cannot find on this website and we will do our best to help.
